# Country/Region of origin Field

This field indicates where a product is manufactured or sourced, which is often required for customs, compliance, or product listings.


### Using the Field

If the supplier feed file does not include a country code column, a **fixed value** can be set to apply the same country to all products.
For example:
* Enter **US** (or *United States*) to mark all products as originating from the United States.

### Accepted Values

The field accepts:
* **Country codes** (e.g., `US`, `AU`, `GB`, `CA`)
* **Full country names** (e.g., `United States`, `Australia`, `United Kingdom`, `Canada`)

Both formats are accepted, and values are **not case-sensitive**.
For example:
* `australia`, `AUSTRALIA`, or `Australia` → all will be mapped as **Australia** in Shopify.


### Example Scenario

A supplier feed includes product details but no country of origin data.
By setting a fixed value of **US**, all imported or updated products will automatically be assigned **United States** as their origin.
