# How can I update the prices of my products using the feed feature?

To update product prices using a Stock Sync feed, create or use an **Update feed** rather than an Add Feed. In Step 2: Matching Column, map the product identifier (such as SKU or barcode) and map **Price** to the correct price column from your file. If you need to update cost prices, map the **Cost** field instead. For reliable price and stock updates, map **Quantity** as well. The feed can be configured to update price only, or price together with inventory.

You can use Smart Settings or Price Conditions to apply markup rules. For example, a 15% markup uses `*1.15`; rules are evaluated from top to bottom, so place general rules such as `any` at the bottom. Ensure every column referenced by a condition exists in the feed. You can also use Liquid Mapping for price or compare-at price values.

Use Step 3 filters to limit updates to products with specific tags, vendors, or other criteria. To prevent other product details from being overwritten, remove their mappings—Stock Sync updates only mapped fields. For example, a feed can map only SKU, Price, and Quantity, or only SKU and Cost.

Use **Preview Sync** to check the expected price before applying an update. Review the calculated value and the Changes Log for a sample SKU, comparing the source value, applied formula, and final price. If the results are correct, click **Start Process** to apply the update manually, then configure a schedule with **Set automation** for recurring updates. If the feed price matches the current store price, no price change is made.

If products already exist in your store with incorrect prices, an Update feed can correct them as long as the feed includes the matching identifier and correct price values. If duplicate SKUs must all be updated, enable the option to update duplicate SKUs in the feed settings.
