# Microsoft SharePoint connection method

For the **Microsoft SharePoint connection** method, you can refer below to follow the steps:

1. Provide the **Shared Link** to have the connection. For how to get the **Shared link**, can refer to more detail.

**For example, https://<tenant>sharepoint.com/**

2. The **File Format** field is set to **Auto** where Stock Sync auto-detects the file format or can also choose the type of file format.

3. By default **First Row Header** is disabled. If there’s a header on the file, need to enable this option. 

4. Then, for the **Sheet Name** you can put the sheet name under that field. If there are multiple sheets separated, you can put commas as separate. 

For example Sheet1, Sheet2

5. Lastly, you can click **Test Connection** to test the connection as well.


### Steps to get the shareable link:

1. Locate your file in Microsoft SharePoint and click on the **Share** icon.

2. It will show up this. You can edit the setting by clicking the part **Anyone with the link can edit**. If the file is restricted to an organization or requires a username and password, Stock Sync cannot access it through the link.

3. Set it as **Anyone with the link** when available, or add **stocksync@appspot.gserviceaccount.com** as a specific person who can access the file. The file owner or supplier must grant this access. Click **Apply** to save the setting.

4. Click the **Share** icon again to copy the link, or right-click the file and copy the link. Paste this link into the SharePoint connection in Stock Sync, then click **Test Connection**.

5. If you changed the SharePoint authorization or permissions, disconnect and authorize the SharePoint connection again before testing the link.
