# Product Category Field

|| If your feed file lacks a product category column, you can apply the same category (e.g., Luggage & Bags > Suitcase) to all products, either by name or category ID, using a fixed value or AI generation.

In Shopify, a product category is called a Product Taxonomy; find a full list of all product taxonomies in the lookup table [here](https://shopify.github.io/product-taxonomy/releases/unstable/).

Product category field can update products using either **Category ID** or **Value** from the feed file. You can choose the language in the extra setting of the Product Category.
