# What steps should I follow to set out‑of‑stock products to zero in stock?

To set products that are missing from your feed (unmatched products) to zero stock, enable the **Out of Stock Strategy** in your Update feed. This option resets the quantity of unmatched products to 0 at the selected location.

There are two modes:
• **Current Feed** – Sets all products not found in the latest feed to 0. This applies to the entire feed. If you need to exclude certain SKUs (for example, those with prefixes like SY or DH), apply [Store Product Filters](https://help.stock-sync.com/en/article/store-product-filter-1uqbxfq/) to ignore them.
• **Previously updated by any feed** – Sets to 0 only the unmatched items that Stock Sync has updated before.

Make sure the correct OOS option is enabled. If the wrong one is selected, unmatched variants will not be zeroed. After enabling the correct option, run the feed update and verify that the affected SKUs are reset to 0.

If you want discontinued or removed items to be archived, enable **Remove feed – archived discontinued products.**
