# Why does my feed show “No matches found” even though my file contains products?

If your feed shows *“No matches found”* even though your file contains products, it usually means the products **have not been added to your store yet**. Update Feeds can only update items that already exist in your Shopify store. 

To load products from a file for the first time, you need to use an **Add Feed**. Once the products are added to your store, you can use Update Feeds to sync stock, price, and other fields.

If your file is a ZIP containing XML or CSV, make sure the Add Feed is configured to read the correct file inside the archive.
