This option is available only in the Advanced Settings (Step 4) of the Update Product feed. The process is not reversible once completed. Please download the export product as a backup to restore.

This feature resets the quantity on the selected location to 0 for UNMATCHED products in the feed.
There are two options for this:
1. Current feed
This option will set the quantity of ALL unmatched products/variants to zero based on the latest processed feed file. Any variants not found in the current feed will automatically be marked as out of stock (quantity = 0).
If you would like to sync products/variants previously by Stock Sync, please use the “Previously synced by Stock Sync” option.
To prevent all variants from being set to zero unintentionally, we strongly recommend applying Store Product filters.

10,000 products in the store and 100 products in the current feed file. So, when you enable this option it will change all the 9,900 products become zero quantity. We recommend applying Store Product filters instead of making all the store products that do not match with the feed file become zero quantity.
2. Previously updated by any feed (✔️ Shopify only)
Selecting this option will set the quantity of all unmatched variants previously updated by any feed to zero, marking them as (out of stock).

If 5,000 products in your store have previously updated by Stock Sync from any feed, enabling this option will set the quantity to zero only for products that are unmatched within those 5,000 products. For example, if 200 variants are unmatched out of the 5,000 products, only those 200 variants will have their quantity reset to zero. To reduce the number of variants being reset, you can apply Store Product Filters to limit the scope of updates. For instance, applying a filter like Vendor = "Nike" ensures that only Nike products previously updated by Stock Sync will be checked and reset if unmatched.
Related to this above option, there is a feature Quantity zero alert. Enable the Quantity Zero Alert to receive notifications when product quantities reach zero. This feature allows you to halt updates based on a percentage you define. Click here for more details.Updated on: 15/05/2026
