If Suppliers on Shopify won’t Install the App: Use the Shopify Public Connection

The Shopify Public Store connection method enables inventory retrieval from other Shopify stores, serving as a scraping mechanism.


Follow these steps to connect:


Shopify Public connections are limited to 25,000 items due to Shopify API limitations.


  1. Click Set up new feed, then select Add new products to store or Update existing products to store and continue.
  2. Search for Shopify Public Store.


  1. On the feed settings page, replace the [store name] in the endpoint (URL) field with the desired Shopify store name.


Example:


  1. The rest of the field just follows the template given.


  1. Click Next to proceed to the Matching Column section, which is pre-filled.


You cannot update the Cost, Barcode, or Inventory Quantity fields, only the Available and Not Available labels can be updated.


  1. Once completed, click Start process to run it.
