Bundle variant real time sync

The Bundle Variant Real Time Sync connection helps you sync real-time quantity within your Shopify store. You can use it to sync quantity from one location to another, or share quantity across multiple locations within the same store without requiring an external feed file or source.

This feature is available only on Shopify.

How to Set Up Bundle Variant Real Time Sync

Clear UI navigation path: Go to App → Feeds → Create new feed → Update feed → Bundle real time variant sync

Create New Feed: Click Create new feed and select Bundle real time variant sync from the connection options.
Select Source Location: Choose the source location from the dropdown menu where you want to sync quantity from.
Configure Matching Column: Proceed to Step 2: Matching Column (the fields are pre-filled).
Set Destination Location(s): Click on the Quantity field to open smart settings. Under Location, choose whether to sync to One location or Multiple locations, then select your target Shopify location(s).

No feed file or external source is required. All changes are configured directly in Step 2: Matching Column.

Bundle Variant Real Time Sync Detailed Breakdown

1. Location Settings

In the Quantity field's smart settings, you can configure target locations for inventory updates.

Location Setting	Description
`One location`	Sync quantity from the source location to a single target location (can be the same location as the source or a different Shopify location).
`Multiple locations`	Sync quantity to multiple locations simultaneously from a single update run.

You can select specific locations under Inventory Locations when choosing Multiple locations (e.g., 123, Paris, Printify).

Key Rules & Technical Details

Location Activation & Tracking Prerequisites: Stock Sync can only update a Shopify location if that location has been activated in Shopify with inventory tracking enabled.
Missing Location Handling: If a location is not activated for a product, Stock Sync will not update its quantity and will not automatically activate that location. Ensure each product has the correct Shopify locations enabled before syncing.
Auto-Add Location Requirement: If the destination location does not exist on a product, ensure Auto-add location is enabled in Stock Sync settings and that Track quantity is turned on in Shopify; otherwise, quantities will not update.
Fallback Configuration: If needed, you may configure a fallback to the store’s main location using the settings described in the Quantity Field documentation.
Trigger-Based Syncing: Real time sync only updates products whose quantities change after the feed is activated; previous quantity values will not retroactively sync.
Multi-Location Updates: You can sync to multiple target locations using the Multiple locations option in the Quantity smart settings.
Execution & Notification Logs: Real time quantity sync updates destination locations only when there is movement at the source location. There is no separate notification for initial sync; review sync logs to confirm updates.

Troubleshooting Steps

Issue: Quantities are not updating at the destination location → Solution: Verify that inventory tracking is enabled for the product in Shopify and that the destination location is active on the product variant.
Issue: Quantity updates are not triggering → Solution: Trigger an inventory movement event at the source location, as real-time sync processes updates only when quantity changes occur after activation.
