Automatically Remove or Archive product when not found in Update Feed (Auto Clear Discontinued)

Remove product feed allows you to remove products automatically when variant(s) are no longer found in the feed file.


Before setting up the Auto Clear Discontinued feed, need to have an Update Feed set up first. By default, It will archive products that are no longer in the feed file. If the supplier feed removed 20 products from the feed because of discontinued, it will be archived those 20 products. You can change the settings to remove or archive in the Remove feed advanced settings (Step 4).


There are two ways to set up this feed:


(a) Create a Remove Feed from the New Setup



  1. Click on the New Setup -> Delete or archive unwanted products to create the remove feed.


  1. Select the template as Auto Clear Discontinued to discontinue or remove the unused product.


  1. Select an update feed to connect the feed that wants to discontinue or remove the products.


  1. Click on  Next to the Matching Column (Step 2). You can skip this step by using the template.


  1. Click Next to Advanced Settings (Step 4) for further settings.


The default settings will remove the products permanently. Please change the options to Archive products if you like to keep the products in Shopify.  To know more about Advanced Settings for Remove Feed.


  1. Click on Finish to be redirected to the Feed Details page.
  2. The feed will automatically run after the update feed that is connected to has finished processing and has SKU not in the feed detected.
There is no UNDO process. Please make sure to add filter by feed data and/or filter by Shopify products to avoid removing active products. You can use our app, Storelapse on the Shopify app to backup your products.


(b) Direct from the Update Feed Details page to remove the product



  1. Click on the feed detail page of the update feed.
  2. Click the Setup here
  3. The Auto Clear Discontinued feed will be automatically created and it will automatically run after the update feed that is connected to has finished processing and has SKU not in the feed detected.


The default settings will remove the products permanently. Please change the options to Archive products if you like to keep the products in Shopify.


  1. To change the settings to archive or remove products, go to the Advanced Setting (Step 4).
