How to get started with syncX: Stock Sync via Shopify?

Getting started with syncX: Stock Sync is quick and easy. Install the app from Shopify and open it from your Shopify admin to access the Stock Sync dashboard.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Install syncX: Stock Sync from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Enter the Shopify store URL when prompted.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the Shopify login page.
  4. Sign in using your Shopify email and password.
  5. Once logged in, the syncX: Stock Sync dashboard will be available and ready to use. You can access your store’s Stock Sync admin page from the dashboard after installing the app. The admin page uses the format ``` https://admin.stock-sync.com/admin/stores/{store`` ```` ID}`.

Free Trial Access

A 14-day full-feature trial starts automatically upon first login. This gives full access to the features needed to evaluate the service, including:

  • Updates for up to 10,000 variants in your store
  • Up to 3 feeds
  • Scheduled updates twice per day

Once the trial ends, available features and limits depend on the plan you choose.

Once inside the dashboard, create your first feed to start syncing or managing product data.

Create your first feed profile

  1. From the Stock Sync dashboard, click Create New Feed.
  2. Choose the feed type:
  • Select Add/Import (yellow feed) to create new products.
  • Select Update Existing Products (purple feed) to update products already in your store, such as inventory, price, or images. An Update feed does not create products when the SKU does not already exist.
  1. In Step 1 (Feed Manager), choose the feed source and configure the connection, such as an uploaded CSV/Excel file, FTP, XML, or URL. Ensure the file has a header row and select the correct delimiter; enable Auto file setting when the delimiter is not a tab.
  2. In Step 2 (Matching column), map the source’s matching field—usually SKU—to the corresponding store field. For Shopify CSV files, Variant SKU can be used for variant-level updates. If products are not matching, verify that the identifier values and mapping match the feed file and store exactly.
  3. Map the remaining source fields to your store fields. For inventory, map the source quantity field to qty only (not qty,Scheduled). For an update that should change only inventory or price, leave unrelated fields unmapped.
  4. Use Preview Sync to verify the changes. For an Add feed, test with a small batch first, then run the feed or activate it.
  5. To automate updates, open the feed details, select Set Automation or Set Automation Schedule, enable the schedule, and choose the interval and time. The feed must be enabled and the plan must support scheduled syncs.

Adding new products and updating existing products require two separate feeds. You can use the same source connection for both feeds, but each feed must be created and configured independently.

Whether importing, exporting, or updating products, syncX: Stock Sync is designed to streamline and automate the process.
