Country/Region of origin Field

This field indicates where a product is manufactured or sourced, which is often required for customs, compliance, or product listings.

Using the Field

If the supplier feed file does not include a country code column, a fixed value can be set to apply the same country to all products.

For example:

• Enter US (or United States) to mark all products as originating from the United States.

Accepted Values

The field accepts:

• Country codes (e.g., US, AU, GB, CA)
• Full country names (e.g., United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada)

Both formats are accepted, and values are not case-sensitive.

For example:

• australia, AUSTRALIA, or Australia → all will be mapped as Australia in Shopify.

Example Scenario

A supplier feed includes product details but no country of origin data.

By setting a fixed value of US, all imported or updated products will automatically be assigned United States as their origin.
