Why is my WooCommerce store showing the error "Store server overload. Please retry or upgrade web hosting"?

When running a feed, the following error may appear: "Store server overload. Please retry or upgrade web hosting"

This error does NOT come from Stock Sync. It indicates a server overload issue on the WooCommerce (WordPress) hosting environment.

Reason

The WordPress server is unable to handle the request while the feed is running. This usually happens when:

  • Server resources are limited
  • The hosting environment is outdated
  • Too many products are queried at the same time

As a result, the server times out before the feed can complete.

Solution

There are two options that can be considered:

  1. Upgrade the WordPress server resources with the hosting provider
  • Increase CPU, memory, or execution limits
  • Recommended for large catalogs or frequent syncs

  1. Reduce the number of products processed in the feed
  • Apply filters to limit the products being queried

Either option helps prevent server timeouts during the sync process and allows the feed to complete successfully.
