No, you generally do not need to filter incoming inventory files before sending them to SyncX. SyncX only processes and counts products that match existing items in your store (if using the update feed). If your vendor sends a file with 20,000 rows but your store only has 800 matching SKUs, SyncX will update only those 800. The remaining unmatched items are ignored.

As long as your store already contains the products you want to update, you can send the full file without filtering it first.
