How can I create a dedicated Shopify inventory location for syncX?
You can create a dedicated inventory location in Shopify for syncX to update without affecting other locations.
Steps:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Locations.
- Click Add location and create a new location (e.g., "DSZ SyncX").
- In your syncX feed, open Quantity Field > Smart Settings.
- Set the Inventory Location to the dedicated location you created.
Once configured, syncX will only update inventory for that specific location.
Note: Each feed in syncX can update only one Shopify location at a time. If you add additional locations in Shopify, you must create a separate feed for each location to avoid conflicts or incorrect updates.
syncX can independently maintain inventory in this dedicated location without affecting other Shopify locations. If you are using other apps (such as DSZ or Marketplace Connect), ensure they are configured to read from or write to the correct location to avoid conflicts.
If your supplier does not provide a direct API endpoint, syncX can also work with CSV, XML, or scheduled feed URLs as alternative sources. You can also use store filters to test with a small batch of SKUs before syncing your full catalogue.
