How can I ensure product variants are included in my product feed?

To ensure all product variants are correctly included in your product feed, make sure each variant meets the following requirements:

• The Variant Group field (such as handle, title, or another chosen grouping value) must be mapped in the Add Product feed. Variant Group is not available in the Update feed.

• Every variant must contain all variant option values (such as color or size). If a variant is missing a required value, it will fail to import.

• Variant option values in the feed must match the values already stored in your shop. Any mismatch (such as different color names or codes) prevents the variant from updating or merging.

• Each variant must have a unique identifier (SKU or another mapped field). If variants share the same identifier, they may overwrite each other or fail to appear.

• If the original product was imported without variant options, new variants cannot be merged. The product must be re‑imported with full variant data.

By ensuring the feed includes consistent variant group data, complete option fields, and unique identifiers, all variants will be successfully added or merged into the correct products.
