How can I resolve product syncing issues in syncX: Stock Sync?
Common syncing issues are often caused by feed configuration, missing credentials, or safety thresholds. If your feed shows zero products or stops running, check whether the zero‑quantity alert is triggered—syncX cancels the process when more than 80% of items have quantity 0 unless you disable or lower this threshold in your profile. For import feeds, make sure required credentials (such as login details for FTP or API sources) are correct; incorrect credentials will prevent the feed from loading. If a preview shows zero products, ensure your SKU or product identifier is mapped correctly and confirm no filters are excluding items. After adjustments, run the process again using Start Process to perform the actual sync.
Additional situations that may cause syncing issues:
- If products are duplicated instead of updated, confirm the product identifier (such as SKU or Handle + Options) matches exactly between your store and the source. Any character differences will cause Stock Sync to create new products.
- If variants are not updating, check whether the variant options (Option 1, Option 2, etc.) in your store match how the supplier structures their data. A mismatch may cause the feed to skip items.
- If the feed fails to read your file, ensure the correct file format is selected (for example, switching from XML to JSON if needed).
- Automatic sync can only run as frequently as once per hour; manual sync can be run anytime.
