The Inventory Tracked field controls whether your ecommerce store tracks inventory quantities for matched products. By defining custom indicators, you can automatically enable or disable inventory tracking based on the values provided in your supplier feed file.

How to Set Up Inventory Tracked

Go to App → Feed Settings → Step 2: Matching Column

1. Locate Target Field: In the mapping table, locate or add the Inventory Tracked field.
2. Map Feed Column: Select the column from your feed file that contains tracking status indicators (e.g., available, In-stock, track, or numeric values like 1 and 0).
3. Open Smart Settings: Click the gear icon next to the mapped field to open indicator settings.
4. Define Indicators: Enter your feed file's specific values for enabling or disabling inventory tracking.
5. Save Mapping: Click Update or save your feed settings to apply the configuration.

Inventory Tracked Smart Settings

The value for the inventory tracking field in your feed file can be represented by various indicators, such as available, No, track, false, In-stock, out-of-stock, 1, or 0. Adjust the settings below to match your feed file's data.

1. Enable Inventory Tracked Indicator

This setting defines which feed values tell the system to enable quantity tracking for products in your store.

• Default Value: By default, the system recognizes true to enable quantity tracking.
• Custom Indicators: You can set this to 1, enable, track, available, In-stock, or any custom indicator present in your feed file.

2. Disable Track Inventory Indicator

This setting defines which feed values tell the system to disable inventory tracking for products in your store.

• Default Value: By default, the system recognizes false to disable quantity tracking.
• Custom Indicators: You can set this to 0, false, disable, out-of-stock, No, or any custom indicator from your feed.

Key Rules & Technical Details

• Supported Indicator Formats: Supports text terms (track/don't track, enable/disable), boolean values (true/false), and numeric flags (1/0).
• Fixed Value Option: If your supplier does not provide an inventory tracking column and you want to track quantities for all products, set the field mapping directly to Fixed Value and enter true.

Troubleshooting Steps

• Issue: Inventory tracking status does not update in the store → Solution: Verify the exact value present in your feed file's tracking column and ensure it is entered into the Enable or Disable indicator field in Smart Settings.
• Issue: Numeric values (1 and 0) are not updating inventory tracking → Solution: Enter 1 in the Enable Inventory tracked indicator setting and 0 in the Disable track inventory indicator setting.
• Issue: The feed file lacks an inventory tracking column entirely → Solution: Select Fixed Value in the field dropdown and input true to track all items or false to untrack all items.
