What should I check if my product SKUs are not importing correctly?

If your product SKUs are not importing correctly, start by checking whether the feed contains valid data for each product. Ensure the SKU field is present, not blank, and matches the identifier used by your store. Missing or empty SKU or barcode fields will prevent products from importing.

If the SKU appears blank in Stock Sync, check the original source file—not only the preview or SFTP viewer—to confirm that the SKU value is present for that row. Also verify that Stock Sync is reading the intended source file and that the SKU column is mapped correctly. A different file, an empty source file, or a column with hidden characters in its header can make a valid SKU appear missing. If the source file is inaccessible or appears empty, ask the supplier to verify and resend the file.

Also verify that the feed is complete and that key fields such as images or descriptions are correctly formatted. In some cases, incorrect image URLs (for example, missing https:) can cause the import to fail. If variant columns such as Size or Color are required but empty, you may need to remove those variant mappings or separate the feed into different uploads depending on which variant fields are available.
