What should I do if my inventory is not updating accurately between two Shopify stores?
If your inventory is not matching between two Shopify stores when using Stock Sync, first check whether you are using Shopify Real‑Time Sync. This method only updates quantities when a change occurs in the source store and only for changes made after the feed is activated. If SKUs have not changed since activation, they will not auto‑sync.
If only some SKUs update or the inventory is still inaccurate, create a separate Shopify‑to‑Shopify update feed to force‑sync all quantities. For products missing in the target store, use an Add feed to import them before syncing.
Also check the following:
- Ensure the correct inventory location is selected when mapping the Quantity field. If the wrong location is chosen, updates will not appear.
- If products are not assigned to the Online Store sales channel, make sure the feed’s Published filter is set to "Any" so Stock Sync doesn’t treat the store as empty.
If issues persist, provide a sample SKU so the system can verify whether the identifiers match (e.g., unique SKUs required) and whether the correct quantity is being received from the source store.
