What should I do if no products are imported successfully?

If your import completes with 0 products added, it usually means the feed is missing required mappings or some fields cannot be processed. Common causes from real cases include:

• Variant mapping is incorrect or missing. If your supplier feed contains variant attributes, Stock Sync needs the correct Variant Option mapping. Ask your supplier for sample variant values so you can map them properly.

• Required product fields (such as Title or Product Identifier) are missing or blank in the feed.

• A variant option value is too long or not suitable for Shopify, which can cause the entire import to fail.

• Image fields or URLs are incorrectly mapped, especially when prefixes or filenames are separated.

To fix the issue:

  1. Review Step 2 Field Mapping and ensure all compulsory fields are mapped correctly.
  2. If your products have variants, confirm the option names and values are mapped from the correct fields.
  3. Run Preview Sync to detect errors before importing.
  4. If needed, temporarily remove variant mapping and test importing as simple products to confirm the feed works.

Once the mapping is corrected, rerun the import and the products should appear successfully.

Additional cases that may cause consistent import failures:

• The feed may stall or stop during “scan for matching” when mapping is incorrect. In this case, adjust the identifier mapping (e.g., URL/handle or SKU) and try again.

• Some suppliers provide long attribute values (such as option values containing full labels). These may trigger errors like “Option value name is too long.” Shorten or remap only the required portion.

• API or feed pagination settings may prevent all products from being pulled. If your feed shows fewer products than expected, test with importing 3 products first and verify pagination.

• Column headers containing commas or special characters may not be recognized. Using column numbers instead of header names may resolve this.

• If product images do not appear, remap the image field and re-import, as missing or incorrect mappings can block image import.

Additional notes:

• A low‑credit warning does not block test imports when the "Only process 3 products" option is enabled.

• If more than 80% of products in the feed have quantity 0, the update process may stop due to the Quantity Zero Alert. You can disable this in the profile settings if this behavior is expected.

• If the feed is still queued or processing, the import may temporarily show 0 products. Wait for the feed to finish to abort and retry if it remains stuck.
