Why does my feed show “No matches found” even though my file contains products?

If your feed shows “No matches found” even though your file contains products, it usually means the products have not been added to your store yet. Update Feeds can only update items that already exist in your Shopify store.


To load products from a file for the first time, you need to use an Add Feed. Once the products are added to your store, you can use Update Feeds to sync stock, price, and other fields.


If your file is a ZIP containing XML or CSV, make sure the Add Feed is configured to read the correct file inside the archive.
