Why is my Shopify product feed not updating correctly when quantities don’t change?
If your product feed is not updating inventory correctly in Shopify, first check whether the Quantity field is mapped to the correct Shopify location. Shopify requires every inventory update to be assigned to a specific fulfillment location. If no location is selected, quantities will not update.
Another common reason is the Quantity Zero Alert / Halt Update threshold. If stock in your feed shows an unusually high percentage of zero quantities (for example >90%), Stock Sync will pause the update to protect your store from accidental zeroing.
To fix these issues:
• Ensure the Quantity column is mapped to the correct location under Field Mapping > Inventory.
• Review the Quantity Zero Alert threshold under the feed settings.
• Rerun the feed after correcting these settings.
These steps resolve the most common cases where feeds process successfully but inventory does not update in Shopify.
