Why is my SKU quantity not updating?
A SKU may fail to update for several reasons. Common causes include:
• The SKU appears more than once in your feed file with different quantities. In this case, Stock Sync may take the first occurrence and skip the rest.
• The product exists in multiple Shopify locations, and the feed is updating a different location than the one you are checking. Adjust the location under Matching Column > Quantity > Smart Settings > Location.
• Duplicate products in the store share the same SKU. Enable the option “Update duplicate products with same product identifier” to update all matching products.
• Filters in the feed (for example Vendor or Product filters) exclude the SKU from being updated.
• The update mode is set to overwrite quantity, which replaces your store quantity with the value from the feed.
These checks help ensure the SKU is correctly matched and updated during sync.
• If the SKU does not exist in the supplier feed file, it will appear as an unmatched record and cannot update until the supplier includes it again.
• If your store relies on multiple identifiers (e.g., SKU + brand/vendor), ensure the values in the feed exactly match the corresponding fields in Shopify; any mismatch will cause the update to be skipped.
