How do I sync products or inventory across multiple Shopify stores?
You can sync products or inventory across multiple Shopify stores by installing syncX: Stock Sync in each store and creating the appropriate feeds.
📘 Learn more about real-time quantity sync here: Shopify store (Real time quantity sync)
After selecting Add Feed or Update Feed, you must first choose the Shopify Store (requires Stock Sync app) connection type. This ensures that the destination store can connect correctly to the source store using a public token.

Example setup scenarios
To sync products or inventory using syncX: Stock Sync across multiple stores (Store A, Store B, and Store C):
- Install the Stock Sync app in each store.
- Feeds are always created in the destination store.
- Public tokens are used to connect to the source store.
- For two-way sync, feeds must exist in both stores.
First scenario: One-way sync (Store A → Store B)

To sync products or inventory one-way from Store A to Store B:
- Create the feed in Store B.
- Select Shopify Store (requires Stock Sync app) as the connection.
- Enter Store A’s public token.
Second scenario: Two-way sync (Store A ↔ Store B)

To sync products or inventory two-way between Store A and Store B:
- Create a feed in Store A using Store B’s public token.
- Create another feed in Store B using Store A’s public token.
- Both feeds must use the Shopify Store connection type.
Third scenario: Multiple source stores (Store A + Store B → Store C)
ducts or inventory into Store C from multiple stores:
- Create two separate feeds in Store C.
- One feed using Store A’s public token
- One feed using Store B’s public token
- Each feed represents one source store.
Real-time quantity sync behavior
- Real-time sync is trigger-based — it only updates when the source store’s quantity changes.
- It is one-way unless you set up a real-time sync feed in both stores.
- You can target specific locations using Quantity field > Smart Settings.
- Cart reservations are not tracked by Stock Sync. Quantity will only decrease if the Shopify store itself deducts stock when items are added to cart.
Importing only selected products from another Shopify store
To import a subset of products (for example, a specific category) from one Shopify store to another:
- Create an Add Feed in the destination store.
- Use the Shopify Store (requires Stock Sync app) connection and enter the source store’s public token.
- In Step 3: Filter, apply conditions such as tags, collections, product type, or handle to restrict which products are imported.
- Ensure that each product has a valid identifier (SKU or Barcode). If these are missing, Stock Sync may attempt to match by Handle, but differences between stores may prevent matching.
- Products without any usable identifier will not sync.
One-Time Initial Quantity Push Before Real-Time Sync
If you need to push all quantities first before enabling real-time sync:
- Create a standard Update Feed using Shopify Store (Price & Quantity Field Only).
- Remove the Price field so only quantity updates.
- Run the feed once to push all quantities.
- Optional: You can delete the feed to keep the feed limit
- Then create the Real-Time Quantity Sync feed.
Order Sync Between Shopify Stores
Order sync is not part of Stock Sync. To push orders from one Shopify store to another, both stores must install the SyncX Order Export app.
Syncing Duplicate Products Within the Same Shopify Store
If two products share the same SKU or barcode and should maintain the same inventory, syncing is only possible through an Update Feed as the source of truth.
Stock Sync cannot automatically link or sync inventory between duplicated products inside the same Shopify store without a feed.
To sync duplicates:
- Create an Update Feed (using a file, Google Sheet, or any supported source).
- Ensure the feed contains the SKU/barcode used by both products.
- Enable Update duplicate products with same product identifier under the Product Identifier Field.
Stock Sync cannot sync duplicated products directly from store-to-store within the same Shopify store.
