Smart Image Sync
Smart Image Sync allows bulk uploading and mapping of product images from external sources like Google Drive, Dropbox, or ZIP file uploads directly to your store using flexible matching rules.
How to Set Up Smart Image Sync
Navigation path: Go to App → Create New Feed → Smart Image Sync
- Create Feed: Click Create New Feed and select Smart Image Sync.
- Select Connection Type: Choose your preferred source connection (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or File Upload).
- Configure Source Details: In Step 1: Feed Manager, enter the required file or folder access details.
- Configure Field Matching: Click Next to proceed to Step 2: Matching Column, and select the matching type that fits your image file naming structure.
- Adjust Image Settings: Access the field's smart settings to configure options such as skipping duplicate images with identical filenames.
- Save & Run: Save your feed settings and execute the image sync.

Key Rules & Technical Details
- Platform Availability: Smart Image Sync is supported on Shopify only.
- Feed Limit & Credits: Smart Image Sync shares feed quota limits with standard Add Products feeds. Bulk image additions require processing credits.
- Image Appending: Smart Image Sync appends new images to existing product media; it does not delete or overwrite previously existing store images.
- File Extensions: Image files must include a valid extension (e.g.,
.jpg,.png). Files without explicit extensions will fail to process. - Connection Restrictions: SFTP connections and Shopify CDN URLs are not supported as source inputs. Use Google Drive, Dropbox, or ZIP file uploads.
- ZIP File Size Limit: Direct ZIP uploads are limited to 50 MB. For image assets exceeding 50 MB, use Google Drive or Dropbox connections.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Issue: Google Drive images fail to sync → Solution: Verify that the Google Drive folder access permission is set to public ("Anyone with the link").
- Issue: Direct file upload fails during import → Solution: Ensure all images are compressed into a single
.zipfile under 50 MB, and that all files contain valid image extensions (e.g.,.jpg,.png). - Issue: Images are not matching with store items → Solution: Double-check your filename conventions against the selected Matching Type in Step 2 (e.g., verify whether the filename contains or exactly matches the SKU).
